Michael Buckley departs Accenture Interactive
Managing director of Accenture Interactive AUNZ, Michael Buckley, has departed the business after almost 6 years.
An Accenture spokesperson told Mumbrella: “Yes he has left and we wish him the best in his future endeavours.”
Prior to Accenture, Buckley was the CEO of digital agency Amnesia Razorfish for seven-and-a-half-years.
The last two years has seen Accenture broaden its reach in to agency capabilities. In 2017 the consultancy acquired The Monkeys for $63m while last month Accenture Interactive announced last month that it had purchased Droga 5 in the largest deal to date by the consulting firm’s agency arm.
At the time of The Monkeys’ acquisition, Buckley told Mumbrella that it represented “the beginning of a new agency model.”
“What I mean by a new model is that it’s now part creative, part consultancy, part technology that comes together,” Buckley said.
“What that means for our clients and the CMO is they now have the ability to create the best customer experiences on the planet, end to end.”
The Accenture spokesperson said no replacement had been named for Buckley.
Good luck in your next gig, Bucks.
