Michael Pickering to edit Men’s Style

Former Ralph editor Michael Pickering has been appointed the new editor of ACP’s Men’s Style, the company has announced.

The announcement:

ACP Magazines today announced that Michael Pickering would become editor of Men’s Style, stepping into the role following Peter Holder’s appointment as weekly titles publisher.

In a 10-year career at ACP, Michael has edited several titles within the men’s group, and notably was Ralph’s longest serving editor during its most successful period (2003-2008).

Prior to joining ACP, he worked for Text Media and Federal Publishing and has done freelance stints as a writer, sub and editor on a wide range of other magazines. More recently, his freelancing work has appeared in Rolling Stone, Harper’s Bazaar and Men’s Style.

Phil Scott, ACP Magazines group publishing director, said: “Michael’s handle on magazine craft and production standards, not to mention his considered approach to publishing in general, makes him the ideal person to take Men’s Style back into the bi-monthly frequency, starting with its Spring issue.”

Michael will report to Peter Holder, who in addition to his new role will remain as publisher of the title he launched for ACP in 2003.
