Michelin Australia announces open social tender

Michelin Australia has announced an open tender for a social media agency. The contract for the incumbent, The-Lowdown, expires in October. Michelin Australia is under a global group contract with Havas Media for paid functions, and creative is done in-house.

The announcement:

​As part of their efforts to strengthen its social media strategy and brand presence in the local market, Michelin Australia are open for public tender in search of a social media agency.

​Founded in 1889, Michelin, the leading mobility company, is dedicated to enhancing their clients‘ mobility and sustainably designing and distributing the most suitable tyres, services and solutions. Michelin Australia was established in July 1997 to manage and develop the markets of Australia and New Zealand, with their head office located in Port Melbourne, Victoria.

​Michelin Australia are looking for an experienced, qualified and capable partner to effectively centralise the management of social media channels, assisting with the promotion of content and campaigns to better reach our relevant audiences in Australia and New Zealand.

​The agency will need to be local, innovative and agile with experience in lifestyle, the latest trends and ideally the world of automotive. A track record of working with leading brands, and a portfolio of cutting edge and creative campaigns is a must.

​With a 100% digital presence, social is a platform that has seen increased spend in the last 3 years, with the Michelin brand social presence achieving continued, strong growth.

​The agency will be responsible for managing Michelin Australia’s social media presence, including creating compelling brand identities through socials, engaging with customers, and monitoring the organic performance. They will also be responsible for brands under the Michelin umbrella including global titan in the Rec-Off Road world, BFGoodrich, and local brick-and-mortar network, TyrePlus.

​Interested agencies should submit their EOI by 31st May, 2023 by 17:00 AEST. All EOIs should be sent to the Michelin Australia team at social.tender@michelin.com.au where full tender information will be provided.
