Mike Morris joins Sportsmate as general manager, commercial
Sports fan experience company, Sportsmate has hired Mike Morris in to the newly created role of general manager, commercial.
The former digital commercial strategist for Cricket Australia will be tasked with driving the growth of Sportsmate’s sporting apps, and helping them meet the “current demands of an increasingly mobile, data and digital focused business landscape”.
Sportsmate said it would look to leverage Morris’ 20 years of sales, marketing and commercial experience in the sports and media industry. In addition to five years at Cricket Australia, he has also worked at Bastion and Southern Cross Austereo. The company added that Morris is “fundamental in Sportsmate’s pursuit to strategically position the multi-code apps as a premium digital channel and continue to grow the user base”.
