Ministry of Sound appoints Mediacom

Ministry of Sound has appointed Mediacom to handle its media planning and buying, taking the account out of Carat.  

The announcement:

MediaCom has been appointed to lead the communications strategy and media buying for Ministry of Sound winning the account from incumbent Carat.

Ministry of Sound’s beginnings can be traced back to the UK where it rose to fame as a hugely popular dance music label. In recent years its business has diversified to include music events and content production. In Australia last year they spent $1.5m on advertising.

This win further extends Mediacom’s credentials in the entertainment space, where Ministry of Sound will be join other high profile entertainment clients like Universal Music and Universal Pictures as well DMG the owners of NOVA radio station and Channel 7.

Andrew Livingston, Joint Head of Client Communications Planning, said “this is a great win for us and testament to the direction we’re taking MediaCom. Ministry of Sound is a brilliant brand and we’re going to have a lot of fun working together.”

MediaCom’s appointment takes effect immediately.
