Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children tops the box office over the long weekend
Tim Burton’s latest film Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children grabbed the top spot at the box office over the long weekend pulling in $4.00m across 380 screens.
The school holidays helped The Secret Life of Pets claim second place after taking in $3.308m across 445 screens while The Magnificent Seven grabbed third place with $3.253m sold in tickets across 371 screens.
Fellow kids film Storks came in at fourth place with a local box office of $1.852m, while Bridget Jones’s Baby rounded out the top five after taking in $1.786m to take its local box office total to $13.588m.
Oliver Stone’s Snowden pulled in $315,894 across 89 screens.
