MKR rules while ninth Big Bang and Biggest Loser are well below 1m

Nine’s ninth episode of the week of The Big Bang Theory was the network’s top rating show of the evening with an audience of 865,000 on Thursday, eighth for the night.

Meanwhile, Seven’s My Kitchen Rules cruised to an easy win, rating 1.683m according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam.

Ten’s only contender was The Biggest Loser with 804,000.

However, Nine had the biggest show in Sydney and Brisbane with Round 1 of the NRL rating 710,000 across the two capitals.   

The series return of the NRL Footy Show took 362,000 in the two cities.

In the key advertiser demographic of 25-54, My Kitchen Rules was top in all five cities with the football second in Sydney and Brisbane.

Ten News At Five continued its strong week with an audience of 756,000, beating Hot Seat’s 555,000 for Nine and Deal Or No Deal’s 480,000.

The Project rated an improved 501,000.

Meanwhile, Ten’s Breakfast showed no early signs of an audience breakthrough, rating 36,000 to Sunrise’s 363,000 and Today’s 348,000.
