Mobile Screenfest winners revealed
The mobile phone film and photography festival Mobile Screenfest has announced its winners, with iSpy, We Play Hard and A Short Music About Killing named Best Drama, Comedy and Thriller/Horror respectively.
“We are extremely pleased with and proud of the 550 entries we received for the festival; it is one of the highest for a festival of our kind globally. It has been amazing to see the talent that resides in so many people and also the acceptance of mobile phones as a platform for filmmaking and content capture,” said festival director Avi Ratnanesan.
The winners are:
- Best Drama – iSpy by Tymon Langford
- Best Comedy – We Play Hard by Tim Reuben
- Best Thriller/ Horror – A Short Music about Killing by Motoko Shimizu
- Best Phone Journalism – The Grass isn’t always Greener by Katie Hale
- Best Sports Video – Free Running by Ali Kadhim
- Best Actor – Happy Anniversary by Kate Buchanan
- Best Mobile Photography – Leading The Nation by Christopher Starnawski
- Best Music Video – Future Man by Jasper Kyle
