Following the recent takeover of its parent company Paramount by Skydance, Network 10’s head of corporate communications Bronwyn Fardon has left the company.
Fardon confirmed in a note to Mumbrella her final day at the network was on Friday, September 5.
Last week, Daniel Monaghan, 10’s senior vice president of content and programming, announced he will be departing the company after more than 16 years. He will become Foxtel Group’s new executive director of entertainment content next February, succeeding Wendy Moore.
His role at 10 will be filled by Tamara Simoneau, who was appointed vice president of content, and Yeesum Lo, the new vice president of content business affairs and strategy.
In an internal note, Network 10 president Beverley McGarvey, praised Simoneau and Lo’s “impressive track records” and thanked Monaghan “for his remarkable contribution”.
Last week, McGarvey spoke to Mumbrella about the new company structure, while in Canberra as part of Free TV’s lobbying campaign.
She confirmed that she now reports directly to Kevin MacLellan, Paramount’s international and global content distribution president. MacLellan was NBCUniversal’s global distribution and international media chairman before the takeover and reshuffle.
“He’s fantastic,” McGarvey said of MacLellan.
“He knows the market well, so I look forward to working with him and getting to know more about everyone’s plans.”
Under the reshuffle, former Netflix executive Cindy Holland will lead Paramount’s global streaming division, which includes Australia’s Paramount+ and Pluto TV.
Bit naughty using an image that makes it look live Bev is leaving!
Hi NotBev. We have just realised this is a possible interpretation – apologies for that. We will change the main story image.
