Mumbrella CommsCon Awards shortlist revealed, with comedian and TV personality Mark Humphries to host

The shortlist for the 2020 Mumbrella CommsCon Awards has been revealed.

Herd MSL, Red Havas and WE Communications lead the charge with seven shortlisted entries each.

Red Havas, We Communications and Herd MSL topped the shortlist

Red Havas, which has topped the shortlist for the fifth year in a row, has been nominated for categories including: Agency of the Year – Large, Best Use of Research/Insights, Pro Bono Campaign of the Year, Launch or Relaunch Campaign of the Year, Best B2B Campaign, Best New PR Talent of the Year, and PR Professional of the Year – Agency.

Meanwhile, Herd MSL has been shortlisted for Best Influencer Strategy, PR-led Event or Activation of the Year, Best Use of Technology in a Campaign, Best PR-led Brand Partnership Campaign, Social Media Community Manager of the Year, and two nominations in Best B2C Campaign.

After taking home the trophy last year and the year prior, WE Communications will again be in the running for PR Agency of the Year – Large. The agency is also up for Best Influencer Strategy, Best B2B Campaign, PR Employer of the Year, Best Government Sponsored Campaign, Pro Bono Campaign of the Year, and PR Leader of the Year.

Other agencies with multiple shortlisted entries include Thinkerbell, Edelman and Mango Communications, who have each recorded six.

Multiple brands also made the shortlist including Xero, Menulog, Kayo Sports, Telstra, Canstar, RACQ and Virgin Australia.

Hosting this year’s Mumbrella CommsCon Awards is comedian and TV personality Mark Humphries.

Humphries has also made appearances on Show Me The Movie and Hughesy, We Have a Problem

Humphries was the host of Pointless on Network Ten and is the resident satirist on ABC’s 7.30. He is also known for his work on SBS Viceland’s The Feed, and ABC News’ The World, and is a regular guest on ABC’s Insiders.
