Mumbrella launches TV ad of the month award
Mumbrella is launching a new monthly award to recognise Australia’s best television ads.
Each month’s winner will be selected through a vote by Mumbrella readers and revealed during an episode of The Mumbo Report. A monthly shortlist will be drawn up based on self-nomination and Mumbrella’s own selection. This shortlist will then go to a reader vote.
Entries are now open for the best ad for March.
In order to be eligible, ads must have first gone to air during the month being judged.
Nomination is straightforward. Simply email details of the ad, including the client, agency credits and a link to a video sharing site where it can be viewed to georgina@focalattractions.com.au.
The closing date for the March ad of the month is next Monday April 12, after which our shortlist will be announced and opened to reader voting.

Great initiative Tim, I’m really liking the evolution of mumbrella.
I only hope that mumbrella readers vote not only as industry insiders, but also on how well the ad will achieve its objectives, an element so often ignored by various awards.
Next phase – open the awards up to all forms of advertising and communication??
There is too much emphasis placed on tv ads, even still in these days of dwindling viewers.
