5.38pm – The boss of content agency Outbrain Ayal Steiner has told the Mumbrella360 forum that content marketers need to think more like publishers. Read the story here.

5:11pm – Ross McNab of Kinected has just left the stage after giving a presentation on multi-channel marketing.

4.41pm – Audience fragmentation and the internet are no threat say free to air network top sales bosses. Full story here.

4.10pm – Havas Media CEO Mike Wilson has warned there is a culture that celebrates overwork in the advertising and media industry, in which long-hours have become the norm in a “self-fulfilling prophecy”. Read the story here. 

3:41pm – We’ve had some of the most powerful people in TV sales, Peter Wiltshire from Nine, Kurt Burnette from Seven and Louise Barrett from Ten, on stage discussing some of the issues around the industry, including warning agencies not to offer the “unachievable” discounts to marketers.

2:51pm  – The Crocodile Pit is nearly wrapping up. Mumbrella’s content director Tim Burrows has been on stage with Innovation Bay founder Ian Gardiner, SeaPoint Ventures general partner Melissa Widner and Pollenizer CEO Phil Morie.

2:27pm – The Three Billion Dollar Panel is now in full swing.  Kurt Burnett, chief revenue officer for Seven West Media, Louise Barrett, chief sales office for Network Ten and Peter Wiltshire, group sales and marketing director for Nine Entertainment Co are on stage with moderator John Sintras, chairman for Starcom MediaVest Group.

2:16pm – This morning we had the bosses of the top magazine companies on stage, and they defended the medium, and slated “unfair” comparisons to newspapers.

1.35pm – Lachlan Murdoch has revealed the details of his many trips to Rooty Hill RSL and his love of Minecraft videos on YouTube. Read the story here.

1.15pm – The Mail Online’s global publisher Martin Clarke has warned a reliance on social sharing a flawed business model. Read the story here.

11.50am – The full round down of some of the big issue from the interview with Lachlan Murdoch is up. The News Corp co chair covered a wide range of topics including the future of print, questions of editorial interference and will News buy the troubled Ten Network? Read the story here.

11.45am – Chief marketing officer of Lithium Katy Keim talks about creating success for their company through social listening and trust.

11:31am – Post morning tea and there’s two big sessions happening – one Meet the Magazine Bosses featuring the heads of the top publishers in Australia.

11:13am – Earlier today there was an interesting session with some of Australia’s top digital creatives Steve Coll (Droga5), Jay Mogan (Havas), Scott Nowell (The Monkeys) and Ben Cooper (M&C Saatchi) who talked about some of their best campaigns, and defended techbased solutions as more than just awards scams. 10:36am – We’ve got a first take on Keith Hernandez’s session as well, where he compared traditional publishers to “leaky boats”.

10:32am – We’ve put together a truncated TV ratings story today, but What Really Happens in Bali dropped form last week’s outing, as Ten gained share. See more here. 

10:15am – Yahoo!7’s Digital Stars have been having some facetime with Buzzfeed’s Keith Hernandez after his keynote at Mumbrella360 – quizing him on the future of digital.

9:53am – News form outside 360 (yes there is still a world outside 360) and news has come in Aussie Matt Eastwood who has been running DDB in New York, has been named global creative chief for JWT. To bring it back to 360 Matt was on the first ever Question Time panel at the end of the event.

9:42am – And here’s Lachlan talking to Steady on stage, talking about his career, the future of News Corp, and where Nova fits into his plans.

9.21am – A quick behind the scenes image. In the speakers room right now Lachlan Murdoch is chatting with GroupM’s John Steedman (who will be interviewing him on stage in 10 minutes) and Mumbrella’s content director Tim Burrowes.

9.17am – Herandez says posts that work well in Australia are the locally relevant content and in Australia they can be more direct with their humour.

9:08am Hernandez is wrapping up now before question time. He’s reminding the audience of his four key points:  social is the starting point, nobody wants to be friends with brands, video can be social and be human.

9:03am – Back to #m360, Hernandez is still on the stage where he’s showing a video BuzzFeed worked on with GE about visual thinkers.

8.58am – First story of the day from this morning’s breakfast on the economy. The CEO of the Enero Group Matt Melhuish has taken a swing at Coles and Woolworths saying their duopoly is “squeezing the life out of their suppliers”. Full story here.

8.57am – On another note, the Mumbrella360 hashtag #m360 is now trending.

8.50am – Hernandez is talking about he launch of BuzzFeed in Australia and how they have to be locally relevant to succeed in Australia.

He’s covering how the UK aren’t interested in reminiscing on th past while the UK is and how important it is to be authentic to the audience.

8.40am – The first keynote session has kicked off, Keith Hernandez, executive director, international strategy, BuzzFeed is on the stage and he is having some fun opening with a couple of jokes.

8.25am – In non Mumbrella360 news, The Australian reports that the ABC will make an apology to Chris Kenny tonight at 9pm with the public broadcaster to pay costs and limited damages to Kenny (paywall).
