Loved the Audioland event and looking forward to next years.
I work in an agency and predominantly buy radio as I find its very effective with my clients and campaigns. I was a little disappointed in the continual attacks from Vivienne throughout the day regarding the measurement methodology of radio and claiming “comments on our stories are saying X.”
After the third time Vivienne attacked commercial radio, may I add across different sessions, it was starting to look very unprofessional and a tad vindictive to the point where the room was started to gossip about it.
As the industry said in reply to her a number of times, commercial radio is continually working on improving and growing their measurement. I didn’t feel Vivienne needed to bring it up time and time again.
Other than that, a great and successful event which next year will need twice as much space to fit everyone in!

Totally agree with Vivienne about the radio ratings and diary method.

So tell me something, two posts got submitted to this comment section, one commenting on Vivienne attacking radio and one praising her.
Funny how the one commenting on how she attacked radio didn’t go up.
A journalist with an agenda with complete disregard to the integrity of her job and journalism.
Interesting to know if all the other comments you claimed Vivienne during the conference were the only ones or the only ones you approved to submit!
P.S: screen grabs have been taken.
Your credibility is……..well you know what I’m trying to say!

Hi Wow,
Today I’m responsible for approving comments. As far as I know, Vivienne hasn’t seen anything that has been submitted to the site over the past 24 hours.
I’m not going to publish posts questioning my colleagues until they’ve had an opportunity to see them and respond to any points made.
The questions about integrity however are outright wrong. I also find your obsession somewhat disturbing.

Hi Tommy,
Thanks for the feedback. I did hear similar feedback to yours where people thought I went on about it too much, and others who felt it was good, as it gave various industry stakeholders and heavyweights the opportunity to respond, and give a different point of view on the criticism. So, you can’t please everyone.
I don’t agree it was an attack though. It was a question – or multiple questions – that garnered a response.
Glad you enjoyed the rest of the event,
Vivienne – Mumbrella
Hi WOW,
You can calm down now because the anti-Vivienne comment has been published.
I am sorry I have made you so angry.
Please go and enjoy your Friday,
Vivienne
