Mushroom Group names former triple j host as new A&R manager

Mushroom Labels has turned to youth broadcaster triple j to recruit its latest A&R manager.

The independent Aussie label has hired Ebony Boadu as the A&R manager, Mushroom Labels. Boadu will be based in Mushroom’s Sydney office and report to Liberation’s managing director Damian Slevison.

Boadu spent two years as host of the triple j Breakfast program, before which she presented the Saturday Night music show on the station. As a DJ, she has performed at Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival, and Listen Out, as well as support act for UK artist Stormzy.

“We are really excited to have Ebony join the A&R team,” said Mushroom Labels’ COO, Chris Maund.

“Her experience at triple j and as a DJ has given her invaluable artist/industry relationships and very broad and diverse taste.

“She has infectious energy and is perfectly placed to aid our existing roster and uncover future stars.”
