Music and Effects appoints business development manager

Melbourne sound post-production facility Music and Effects has appointed Julianne Deeb as business development manager.

The announcement:

Music and Effects, Melbourne’s boutique sound post-production facility is pleased to announce the appointment of Julianne Deeb as Business Development Manager.

Julianne has recently been working at Film Victoria in the Industry Programs area and managed funding programs including travel for international markets & festivals; internships and Indigenous placements as well as industry activities & events.

Julianne also brings to Music and Effects her passion for the industry and her experience as a documentary filmmaker, having worked as an independent writer/director and a freelance researcher and
production manager since graduating from the VCA Documentary course in 2005.

Doron Kipen, founder of Music and Effects said that he was, “delighted to have Julianne join the team, especially at this exciting time in the company’s history. It is no secret that the post production sector has been experiencing difficult times of late but we are confident of the future and are busier than we have been for some time.”

Current work at the studio includes The Turning (compilation mastering of all 17 chapters and sound mixing two chapters), the animated children’s series, The Jar Dwellers, musical feature film The Boy Castaways and feature documentary Big Name No Blanket.
Julianne commented, “I am very pleased to be joining the Music and Effects team. The company has a fantastic reputation in the industry as an audio post production studio of the highest standard, and I look forward to being part of its future success.”
