Mutiny hires ex-McCann MD and marketer as GM for customer

Anita Deutsch has joined marketing SaaS company Mutiny as GM customer.

Deutsch was managing director at McCann for 11 months before standing down in 2018, being at the agency in several different roles for three years.

Deutsch joins Mutiny, to be based in Melbourne

Since departing the IPG agency, now owned by Ben Lilley and part of his Hero offering, she spent two years leading the marketing offering for analytics and SaaS company Yellowfin BI.

She led the marketing strategy across each of the US, European, Asian, and Australian markets.

Managing partner of Mutiny, Henry Innis announced the hire on his LinkedIn page, stating he is really pleased to have Deutsch on board.

He said: “We committed at the start of 2022 to building a Customer function that reflected how WarChest could transform businesses, enhance onboarding and investing in educating the market about the power of Marketing Investment Analytics.”

He further said that her hire gives him the confidence Mutiny is building the right team to deliver its aims.

“Building new categories of technology is hard. You can only do it with the best people. We’re so lucky to have a committed and brilliant team focused on doing just that.”

At McCann, Deutsch replaced former Melbourne managing director Adrian Mills, who exited the agency to launch Deloitte Digital’s new brand creative and media offering.

Later, Nick Garrett, who is also an investor at Mutiny joined Mills as a creative partner at Deloitte Digital.
