My Kitchen Rules rules for Seven

Seven romped to ratings victory on Tuesday, led by another strong performance of My Kitchen Rules.  

The cookery contest pulled in nearly 1.6m viewers, well ahead of Nine’s Top Gear, which averaged 1.3m viewers. according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam.

However, Top Gear performed better in the younger 18-39 demographic, being the second most watched show among that group.

Ten’s only big performer of the night was NCIS.

Meanwhile the morning battle saw Seven’s Sunrise beat Nine’s Today by 28,000, thanks mainly to its strength in Brisbane. Today won Sydney (104,000 to 91,000) and Melbourne (99,000 to 89,000) but lost in Brisbane (61,000 to 92,000), Perth (32,000 to 54,000 ) and Adelaide (26,000 to 34,000).
