NAB calls media review
Banking group NAB has called a media review.
The incumbent agency Zenith Optimedia has been invited to defend the account.
The review does not effect NAB’s relationships with its other agencies, which include creative agency Clemenger BBDO Melbourne.
The announcement from the bank:
National Australia Bank (NAB) today announced the bank’s media planning and buying contract is being placed out to pitch.
With ongoing changes in the media market, the decision was made to review the media buying arrangements for work across the NAB Group including NAB, MLC and UBank.
NAB has undertaken an independent review of the media agency landscape and has invited a selected group of agencies to participate in a closed tender process.
Zenith Optimedia, which has been NAB’s incumbent agency for the last six years, has been invited to participate in the pitch process.
NAB expects the pitch process to be completed in November.
The decision has no impact on other NAB agency partners.
So NAB and Vic gov on pitch, Honda looking to shake things up and defending News in Sydney. Wouldn’t want to be in ZOs shoes right now…
