Naked wins CommsCon Grand Prix for ‘Get Simon off the loo’ campaign

Strategy-led agency Naked Communications won the Grand Prix in the first annual CommsCon Awards which were held in Sydney last night.

The “Who Gives A Crap – Help Get Simon Off The Loo” campaign, also won the awards for most innovative use of social media and best investor / community relations campaign. The campaign featured Simon Griffiths, CEO of Good Goods, sitting on a toilet on live webcam and pledging to not get up until $50,000 had been raised to build toilets in the developing world through sales of the new toilet paper brand.

The CommsCon Awards were chaired by Commonwealth Bank chief marketing and online officer Andy Lark.

The work was judged over a two-stage process by a panel of around 20 jurors from a PR agencies, internal communications leaders and independent consultants.

The CommsCon Awards followed the CommsCon conference, which was attended by around 200 people across the day.
