Nationwide News promotes Michelle d’Almeida

Michelle d’Almeida  has been promoted to the role of digital director at Nationwide News.   This follows the appointment of David Goldman to the role of marketing director.

The announcement:

Nationwide News has appointed Michelle d’Almeida to the role of Digital Director, with responsibility for leading the company’s digital business unit.

In this role Michelle will develop and manage Nationwide News’s digital strategies and outcomes, ensuring innovation across all digital platforms including online, mobile and new devices. Michelle will assume the position on July 19th reporting to Michael Miller.

Michelle comments: “I am delighted to be moving into this role at such an exciting time, as we continue to position our brands as the leading digital destinations within their markets”

Michelle joined Nationwide News as Deputy Advertising Director for The Daily and The Sunday Telegraph in 2008 from The New York Post where she held the position of Vice President of Digital and Classified Advertising. Prior to this she held several senior roles including Classified Advertising Manager for The Sunday Times and Advertising Manager for Perth Weekly.

The appointment follows last week’s announcement of the strengthening of Nationwide News’s marketing function, including Marketing Director David Goldman joining from Canon.

Recruitment for a replacement to Michelle’s current position will commence immediately.
