NBN asks if businesses are ready for high speed broadband in latest push
NBN has launched a campaign encouraging businesses to switch to the NBN broadband access network with the slogan “change is in your hands”.
Created by BWM Dentsu – who have been working with the provider since September 2014 – the ad tells viewers the benefits of switching to an NBN business plan ranging from emailing and online banking to video conferencing and cloud computing.
The ad reminds business owners when existing landline networks are switched off, internet, phone lines, EFTPOS machines, ATMs as well as monitored fire and security alarms could also be disconnected.
NBN Co’s chief customer officer, John Simon, said in a statement: “We’ve been scaling our dedicated business team and working closely with service providers to optimise our processes and systems in order to lift the customer experience for Australian businesses connecting to the new network.
“As the rollout continues to scale, we want to enable businesses of all sizes to embrace fast broadband and tap in to a whole range of applications such as high definition video conferencing and cloud-based tools, which were once only in the domain of larger organisations.”
We’ve been ready for months and years … but still no NBN despite the fact I can see AMP and Deutsche Bank not far away.
FFS hurry up!

Businesses arent ready, particulary when you cut off the internet without informing them. My partner had the internet cut off in his retail store without telling him so they could upgrade it, which meant eftpos was down for a few days and they lost thousands because people dont want to walk to an ATM to get cash out. So no, businesses are not ready.
