Neighbourhood Strategy hires Clemenger BBDO talent as head of strategy
Marketing and brand strategy consultancy, Neighbourhood Strategy, has expanded its leadership team with a former Clemenger BBDO Melbourne strategy partner.
Mike Ronkoske is joining the company after a five-year stint at Clemenger, which he joined in mid-2019 as planning director, before taking on the strategy partner role in mid-2022.
During his tenure, Ronkoske helmed the agency’s Culture Change Unit, while leveraging his extensive expertise in behavioural and cultural change, creative, brand, comms, and innovation strategy to work with several high-profile clients – Myer, Ford, the Department of Education, AusCycling, and more.
Prior to his time at Clemenger, Ronkoske spent over a decade in the United States, where he worked various planning and strategy roles for agencies, including Saatchi & Saatchi LA, Venables Bell and Partners, Goodby Silverstein & Partners, and more.
Now, as Neighbourhood’s head of strategy, Ronkoske will oversee the organisation’s product, “with a particular focus on the creative agency market.”
“Only seven months into our journey as a business, we have already forged some incredible partnerships with creative agencies,” said Jacqueline Witts, founder and CSO of Neighbourhood Strategy.
“Bringing someone of Mike’s pedigree and talent only enhances the offering for agencies and brands to access senior, award-winning strategy talent when they need”.
Ronkoske shared his excitement at his new gig, saying, “There’s nowhere else I’d want to work at right now. To join Neighbourhood and be part of its growth is incredible. And the brief to go partner with some of Australia’s top creative agencies—arming them with high quality strategy—is a bit of a dream role.”
The consultancy’s latest announcement comes off the back of its appointment to manage the global brand architecture at design platform, Canva.
