Nestle appoints Therese Kallie as successor to marketing chief David Morgan

South African Therese Kallie has been promoted by Nestle to be the director of communications and marketing services in the Oceania region for the company, replacing David Morgan who stepped down at the end of last year.

Kallie has been with the company in South Africa since 2005 leading up the marketing efforts there,  and has previously spent time agency side, notably as global planning director for Leo Burnett based in Chicago.

Her appointment comes after Morgan, who had the role for two years, decided to leave the company in December.

Nestle brands include confectionary like Kit Kat, Milky Bar, Wonka chocolate and Allen’s, cereals and snacks like Uncle Toby’s and Maggi, drinks including Milo, pet products such as Purina and some health brands, with creative agencies JWT Sydney, Ogilvy & Mather McCann and Publicis Mojo among the roster, and ZenithOptimedia handling the media account.

She assumes the role on March 1.
