New ABC head of music, Tones & I and more join BIGSOUND

Aussie pop sensation Tones and I, popular ABC personality Myf Warhurst and the recently-appointed ABC head of music Emily Copeland are the latest additions to join the jam-packed BIGSOUND lineup.

The Southern Hemisphere’s biggest music industry event takes place from September 3-6 at Fortitude Valley in Brisbane.

Since exploding onto the global stage with her hit Dance Monkey, Tones and I became the first female artist to reach 3 billion streams on Spotify with one song. Only a few years after gracing the BIGSOUND stage as an up and coming artist, the local superstar will deliver a keynote outlining her vibrant musical journey.

ABC’s new head of music, Emily Copeland, will also take to the stage to discuss her illustrious career in media and how its future will connect with the Australian music landscape.

Copeland was appointed to the newly-created role earlier this year to lead and manage the music strategy across triple j, Double J, triple j Unearthed, ABC Country, ABC Classic and ABC Jazz.

The trio are the newest members of a packed schedule of over 50 speakers and buyers, including Lutz Leichsenring from VibeLab, Billboard US deputy editor Lyndsey Havens, Josh Simons, CEO of Vinyl Group, Mark Davyd from Music Venue Trust, and Kamran Haq, Live Nation’s senior booker for Download Festival.
