New hires at Warner Music Australia

Warner Music Australia has revealed a raft of new hires.

Warner Music Australia is thrilled to announce the appointment of Alex Young as the new head of domestic artist marketing, as well as Charlotte Kindred into the role of senior marketing and artist development strategist (domestic), Josie-Anne Trudel Archambault as the new creative projects producer and Thomas Bleach into the role of publicist. Collectively bringing a wealth of knowledge, ideas and experience to the team under the leadership of Chris Erskine, SVP marketing & promotions. These new hires further cement Warner Music Australia’s continued commitment and focus to growing and nurturing its Australian artist roster.

Alex Young joins Warner Music Australia after six years at Dew Process, where she was promoted to general manager and developed the careers of breaking Australian talent Tkay Maidza, Mallrat, Eves Karydas, as well as spearheading the local campaigns of international heavyweights London Grammar, Mumford & Sons and Sam Fender. Alex began her career in Sydney at Inertia Music, with further stints at Handsome Tours and Universal Music.

President of Warner Music Australasia Dan Rosen notes “I’m really excited to welcome Alex to Warner Music Australia. Our WMA team is focused on our mission to take our Australian artists’ music to the global stage. We are fortunate to have a passionate music person in Alex join our incredible team who are all fiercely dedicated, creative people to continue to champion each one of our domestic artists’”.

On the new role, Alex adds “I am thrilled to be joining the team at Warner Music Australia, I’m a huge fan of the local roster. I’m so excited by the new energy within the organisation and its strong commitment to developing talent globally. I can’t wait to be a part of it!”

Working alongside Alex in the domestic marketing team will be Charlotte Kindred, who joins WMA in the role of senior marketing and artist development strategist. Charlotte has over eight years’ experience working in the music industry in both Australia and the UK, most recently having spent the last three years working for Universal Music and Columbia Records in London where she spearheaded the global campaigns for Aurora, The Lumineers, Jacob Collier and more. She’s excited to be moving home and applying her years of expertise to growing the careers of WMA artists.

Josie-Anne Trudel Archambault joins the team as creative projects director. Josie started her career in artist management, and then took the leap into a creative-focused career several years ago where she commenced studies as a graphic designer in Sydney. Since then, she has been crafting and leading original content for various projects, helping a wide range brands and individuals to bring their vision to life.

And finally, WMA welcomes Thomas Bleach into the Publicity and Communications team on a paternity leave contract, as a Sydney-based publicist. Before his stint at independent PR company Positive Feedback in Brisbane, Thomas started his own media site ThomasBleach.com following years of freelance writing. He has written for publications such as Rolling Stone Australia, Tone Deaf, Cool Accidents, The Music Network, Music Feeds, and Purple Sneakers.

In addition to the raft of new hires, Warner Music Australia is delighted to share that Mohamed Komba is increasing his consultancy, working directly with SVP of A&R Australasia Paul Harris as an A&R Consultant. Having first joined WMA in 2021, Mo has also been an artist, label owner, producer, writer, engineer and mentor. He has been a pivotal force behind homegrown artists like Pania, Kaiit, Lisi; and has received multiple ARIA nominations for his work with Miiesha.
