News Corp Australia announces new podcast with Jonathan Brown

News Corp Australia has announced a new podcast with media personality Jonathan Brown.

The announcement:

News Corp Australia has today launched Browny’s Podcast, a weekly podcast with AFL legend and media personality Jonathan Brown.

In every episode Brown and his good mates ex-Hawthorn premiership player Campbell Brown, and broadcaster Dean ‘Deano’ Thomas will discuss the goings on in footy that week, talking through the big marks, the big hits and the big headlines. More than a big chat about footy, they also share insights and anecdotes about their lives and reveal career highs and lows.

Browny’s Podcast will feature a decent amount of banter, great yarns, solid laughs and the latest opinion.

Jonathan Brown, who achieved enormous success on the field, seamlessly transitioned from football to a career in media. He is now a key part of Fox Footy’s AFL coverage and Nova 100’s Melbourne breakfast team.

Brown said: “This podcast is about a group of mates having some fun while providing some footy insights, hopefully the listeners enjoy the content as much as we enjoy putting it together.”

Created by News Corp Australia’s podcasting arm, NewsCast, general manager commercial networks Ainslee O’Brien said the podcast was a great addition to the network.

“We are thrilled with the addition of Browny’s Podcast to the NewsCast slate of programming for the Herald Sun. Jonathan Brown’s incredible popularity and likeability will no doubt very quickly command a strong and loyal audience for his weekly podcast, along with his mates Campbell and Deano,” said Ms O’Brien.

“Sport continues to be a key genre for us and one we’ve seen great success in. We’re confident Browny’s Podcast will become a must listen for many Australians each week.”

A new episode will be published every Wednesday and is available through heraldsun.com.au, the Herald Sun app, Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts.
