News Corp launches travel series with Imagine Cruising

News Corp’s content marketing agency Suddenly has teamed up with Foxtel to launch a new travel series.

The six-part series is known as Imagine This and will be made in partnership with Imagine Cruising.

Hosted by Deborah Hutton, the show will run on Foxtel’s Lifestyle Channel from September 15 at 5pm, and will seek to inspire viewers to cruise and explore the world. Christopher ‘Lochie’ Daddo will also appear on the show, to deliver exclusive offers from the ‘deals desk’.

Simon Smith, News Corp Australia’s executive director of content marketing, said he was delighted to partner with Imagine Cruising for the new show.

“Imagine Cruising is seen as an innovator in its industry with a focus on bringing value to customers, so it’s not surprising they quickly saw the opportunity to own their own show rather than sponsor someone else’s,” Smith said.

“We launched Suddenly only four months ago to help brands tell their stories in a genuine and authentic way with a full-service, strategy to fulfilment, content offering. Delivering this new travel series for Imagine Cruising is a great showcase of what our business can create for brands. It is also the first collaboration of its kind between News Corp Australia and Foxtel.”

Imagine Cruising Group CEO, Robin Deller, added: “Working with a likeminded team at Suddenly enables us to bring our vision to life. Imagine This is not only a milestone in the development and growth of Imagine Cruising, it’s a game changer in terms of showcasing our unique events and experiences in an innovative way.”

Foxtel is the latest business to enter the branded travel series space. Ten runs Luxury Escapes on Saturday evenings, while in August, Nine announced the launch of a new series with Helloworld Travel Limited, Hello World.

News Corp has a 65% stake in Foxtel, with the remainder owned by Telstra.
