News Digital Media announce two new senior appointments
News Digital Media have announced two new senior appointments to the company’s sales team, Jacqui Owens, promoted from group sales manager to NSW sales director, and Matt Connell, promoted from Melbourne sports sales manager from Channel Ten to Victorian sales director.

News Digital Media’s (NDM) national sales director Nicola Lewis today announced two senior appointments to the company’s sales team –
Jacqui Owens, currently NDM’s group sales manager, has been promoted to the role of New South Wales sales director.
Matt Connell, currently Melbourne sports sales manager for Channel Ten, has been appointed Victorian sales director.
Ms Owens and Mr Connell will both report to Ms Lewis.
Ms Lewis said “Jacqui and Matt both have exceptional sales experience and a deep understanding of NDM’s products and audiences across all digital platforms.
“I am confident that their work together will ensure we continue to deliver highly effective and innovative digital solutions for our clients and customers across New South Wales and Victoria.”
Jacqui Owens
Jacqui Owens has already started in her new role.Ms Lewis said “This is a well deserved promotion for Jacqui – she has played an integral role in NDM’s enormous growth over the past four years. During that time she has proven herself both a highly skilled digital sales executive and an effective leader, and built a solid reputation across the Sydney market.”
Ms Owens has worked for News Limited since 2005, joining the company as an account manager for CareerOne. In early 2007 she joined the digital network sales team as an account manager. She was promoted twice in 2008, firstly to senior account manager and then to group sales manager.
Matt Connell
Matt Connell starts in his new role on November 7th.Ms Lewis said “I am thrilled to welcome Matt back into the business. He is highly respected, not only by the team at NDM and the broader News Ltd business, but importantly by our key agency partners in Victoria. We are all looking forward to his return.”
Mr Connell began his career in sales at Channel Ten in 2005 as a direct sales co-ordinator, thereafter being promoted to direct sales executive and agency sales executive. In 2008 he joined News Digital Media, working for a year as group sales manager, before returning to Channel Ten in 2009 as Melbourne sports sales manager.
