303Lowe create scenes out of newsprint for Challenger Limited TV ad

Financial group Challenger Limited has launched a new TV ad for Challenger Annuities based on the idea that retirement looks good on paper but the reality is a different story.

The ‘You Can’t Stop The Bills’ TV ad by digital agency 303Lowe uses a newspaper opened on a story about retirement to create a scene out of newsprint in which a character is lifted up by by a bunch of helium balloons as she enters retirement and is then attacked by bills that fly at her like paper airplanes and pierce the balloons.

A voiceover explains that in retirement bills keep coming in and a regular pay check doesn’t, but with a Challenger Annuity you can receive a guaranteed monthly income, as the character reaches safe ground.

303Lowe also created the ‘Real Stories’ campaign for Challenger Limited and won Marketing Program of the Year at the 2012 Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) Awards.
