Nick Calacouras departs as The Manly Daily editor

Nick Calacouras has announced he will be departing as the editor of The Manly Daily.

“This is my last column as editor of this great paper,” he announced in Saturday’s paper.

“It has been an honour to play a tiny role in this great organisation’s rich history of journalism,” Calacouras concluded.

Calacouras joined the Manly Daily as editor in 2014 from his previous role as network devices manager at News Corp.

Prior to being the network devices manager for five months, he was deputy head of news for News Corp’s Network News division for seven months.

Calacouras has also held roles at news.com.au, NT News and Centralian Advocate.

The article did not mention who would be replacing Calacouras or what his next role would be.
