Nike names new Pacific marketing director

NikeNike has hired a new marketing director for the Pacific region with Brant Hirst stepping up to replace Juliana Nguyen.

Hirst, who has been with the company since 2010 as head of sports marketing where he negotiated the sportswear company signing off its apparel deal with the FFA.

Last year he became the first brand manager for the women’s category, leading the ‘Better For It’ campaign and the Nike+ Training Club Tour earlier this year. He was also with Lion Nathan between 2008 and 2010.

It is understood Nguyen is relocating to Sydney from the Melbourne-based Nike headquarters having been in the role since 2009. Prior to that she was managing director of TBWA\Vietnam

Hirst said: “I am genuinely excited about this opportunity. It is a huge privilege and I’m fortunate to be leading a great team. Nike is a brand that I am incredibly passionate about. I look forward to playing a new role as we continue toward our goals.”

Nike works with one Green Bean for PR and Mindshare for media in Australia.
