Nina Las Vegas leaves Triple J House Party

Dance music DJ Nina Las Vegas is leaving her job as host of Triple J’s House Party after more than five years to concentrate on Mix Up Exclusives for the station.

The announcement:

After five and a half years of sound tracking your Saturday night, Nina Las Vegas will be stepping back from hosting triple j’s House Party in order to concentrate on an expanded role on Mix Up Exclusives.

After a short break to travel to London, Paris, Berlin and some of the world’s biggest music events, including Coachella and the Miami Winter Music Conference, Nina will return to host an hour of cutting edge electronic music, before presenting you with three exclusive sets from producers around the globe, each Saturday from Saturday 7 June.

Nina says ‘I spend most of my weekends in clubs, so I want to make sure the radio I make reflects the absolute best of that. Mix Up Exclusives keeps getting better and better. In the last few months alone we’ve had exclusive DJs sets from Four Tet, Cashmere Cat, Dillon Francis, Boys Noize, Ta-ku, RL Grime, Baauer, Brodinski and MK to name a few. I can’t wait to up the ante even more, focusing on the best sounds coming out of Australia and the rest of the world.’

While Nina will continue to be involved in all aspects of dance music on triple j, her expanded role on Mix Up Exclusives creates an exciting opportunity for a new House Party DJ/producer to take over the decks and get your Saturday nights started.

Tune in on Saturday 22 March as Nina Las Vegas announces the new host of triple j’s House Party.
