Nine has appointed Fairfax Media’s business development and commercial partnerships manager, Nathan Powell, as director of digital sales product.

Powell joins Nine after five years with Fairfax to lead its team of sales specialists across mobile, programmatic, native, video and Microsoft product offerings.

The appointment comes as the company promotes Anthony Mogensen, director of Bing strategic, to head of digital Sydney as well as promoting Nine head of consumer behaviour Anjuli Plozza to head of digital Melbourne.

The appointments follow on from Ben Gunn joining the company in June as the digital sales director.

Gunn said: “This is the right sales team to drive Nine’s digital offering forward and one that will reinvigorate the product and sales initiatives we take to market.

“Nathan Powell is a great hire for the Nine business and we are excited to have him leading our team of specialists as we continue to evolve our digital offering in key areas, such as mobile and programmatic.

“I am also thrilled to have Anthony Mogensen and Anjuli Plozza step up to lead the digital sales offerings in their respective states. I am confident they have the skills and insight into the evolving digital landscape to make a real difference in how we go to market.”
