Australian Survivor and Highway Patrol fight for second place behind The Block on Monday night

Seven’s Highway Patrol and Ten’s Australian Survivor fought it out for second place on Monday night’s viewing as The Block continues to dominate the ratings for Nine.

The Block topped the night and the key advertising demographics 16-39, 18-49, 25-54 with 1.387m metro viewers. Australian Survivor with an audience of 669,000 against Seven’s Highway Patrol’s 628,000.

 

Overall Monday night saw Nine lead overall with an average audience share of 30.4%, more than six points ahead of Seven’s 23.8%, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary ratings.

Meanwhile, Ten just pipped ABC to the third place slot with 19.7% compared to the ABC’s 19.2%. SBS fell behind the pack with an average audience share of 6.9%.

Aside from Seven News, which saw 985,000 metro viewers tune in, Nine’s A Current Affair was the next most-watched show, attracting 951,000 viewers.

Ten’s Have You Been Paying Attention managed an audience of 760,000 metro viewers, while Ten’s The Project came in at 540,000. Seven’s The Chase achieved 533,000.
