Nine narrowly beats Seven to win the week with help of MAFS

Nine has won the ratings week with the help of its match-making program Married at First Sight with the station narrowly beating rival network Seven.

In total viewers across the five metro cities, Nine managed an audience share of 29.9% just topping Seven’s 29.7%.

Meanwhile, ABC saw a share of 18.2% ahead of Ten’ 15.3% and SBS’ 7% share.

Married at First Sight’s Sunday audience  (11 March) of 1.344m was the most-watched show of the week with Monday night’s episode coming in second place followed by Tuesday and Wednesday’s airing.

Seven’s My Kitchen Rules was the fifth most watched show of the week with its 1.032m audience on Tuesday.

Across the demographics, Nine also topped the ratings week with a 34.6% share in the 18-49 commercial TV audience against Seven’s 29.9%% and Ten’s 18.6%.

The channel had the highest audience share in the key advertising demographic 16-39 with 34.5% beating Seven’s 30.1% and Ten’s18.8%.
