Nine takes an overall network share win of 35% as MAFS tops entertainment

Nine has taken an overall network share win of 35% as Married at First Sight won entertainment on Wednesday night.

The episode aired to a metro audience of 967,000, with the program also winning all three key advertising demos.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 23 February, Wednesday’s episode of MAFS was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.9 million viewers, including 509,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 51%.

It was Wednesday’s episode of Seven’s SAS Australia which had the highest uplift of the week at 54%.

As mentioned, Nine won the night with its 35% over Seven’s 23.5%, while the ABC had a 19.2% share, and Ten had a 14.8% share.

Helping ABC’s overall network share was its multichannel ABC News which had a 4.1% share, the highest share the ABC have had for a multichannel all year, and of the night.

Next in entertainment was an episode of ABC’s Hard Quiz which brought in 637,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven’s Home and Away which saw an average of 552,000 metro viewers tune in.

The Chase Australia on Seven had 512,000 metro viewers, followed by Shan Micallef’s Mad As Hell on ABC which saw an average of 485,000 metro viewers tune in.

The #1 program on Wednesday was Seven News which aired to 1.027 million metro viewers, while Seven News at 6:30 had1.011 million metro viewers. Nine News had 997,000, and Nine News at 6:30 brought in 981,000 metro viewers.
