Nine wins fourth ratings week of the year thanks to MAFS, adding to streak
Married at First Sight has carried Nine to another weekly win, with 30.1% network share against Seven’s 25.6%. In primary channel shares, Nine led the way with 21.8% to Seven’s 17.1%.
It is the fourth week of the official ratings year, and Nine has now won all four.

The top four programs of the week, were also MAFS. The reality juggernaut regularly pulls over 1m metro viewers for an episode, and secured nightly wins for Nine Sunday through to Wednesday.
Nine also won Thursday night.
Seven rebounded to scoop Friday and Saturday nights, but it wasn’t enough to edge closer to Nine.
Ten lagged behind this week on 17.9% network share and 11.4% for the primary channel, however 10 Bold was the best-performing multi-channel on 3.8% for the week.
In the yearly survey battle, which Nine notably won last year, Nine Network is again ahead, with 29.5% share to date compared to Seven’s 26.4%. Network Ten is 0n 17.7%, just behind the ABC’s 18.0%.
Seven’s programming slate has gotten off to a difficult start in 2020, with the BBL underperforming and tentpole format My Kitchen Rules also struggling.
Nine News topped a slow Saturday night with 698,000 metro viewers, ahead of Seven News’ 693,000. ABC drama series Doc Martin was just behind on 682,000. The fourth episode of Nine’s Taronga: Who’s Who in the Zoo, narrated by Naomi Watts, pulled 438,000 metro viewers.
In the breakfast TV rivalry, 288,000 metro viewers tuned in to Sunrise, jumping to 448,000 nationally. Nine’s Today continue to lag well behind on 191,000 metro and 297,000 nationally.
