Nine wins Thursday overall share, Seven’s The Chase tops entertainment

The Chase Australia on Seven has won Thursday night entertainment programming, airing to 543,000 metro viewers, but it was Nine Network that won overall share.

The Chase was followed by Home and Away with 451,000 metro viewers.

In another news-dominated night of TV, Seven News had the #1 spot, airing to 912,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 855,000, Nine News with 823,000 and Nine News at 6:30 with 759,000. A Current Affair had 636,000 metro viewers and ABC News has 556,000.

Back to entertainment, and Nine’s Hot Seat was next with 424,000 metro viewers, followed by Ten’s MasterChef Australia with 390,000.

As mentioned, Nine Network won overall share on Thursday night with 30.6%, followed by Seven Network with 27.9%, ABC with 16.2%, Network 10 with 16.1% and SBS with 9.2%.

Nine was the top rated primary channel with 24.1%, also followed by Seven with 19.9%. ABC TV had 10.6% while Ten had 10.3%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV Report for 18 May, Seven News was the #1 rated program with a Total TV audience of 1.524 million metro viewers, a 3% uplift and BVOD audience of 44,000.

MasterChef Australia and the ABC’s Folau had the biggest uplifts of 30%. MasterChef had a Total TV audience of 724,000 metro viewers and BVOD audience of 110,000, while Folau had 358,000 and 35,000 on BVOD.
