Ninemsn announces Digital Showdown contestants

Ninemsn has unveiled the contestants for its digital game show Digital Showdown- aimed at determining the smartest digital person in Australia.  

The announcement:

Sydney, Australia, 11 November 2010: ninemsn today announced the contestants for the 2010 FFWD5 Digital Marketing Summit’s game show, Digital Showdown, which will determine Australia’s smartest person in digital media and marketing on November 17 2010.

Australia’s largest online publisher, ninemsn, invited the country’s top digital agencies to nominate their brightest staff members to compete and represent their brand.

The digital and marketing leaders that will go head to head are: Ellie Rogers, Digital Director, Ikon Communications Zahra Ali, Strategy Director, Media Contacts Matt Joyce, Digital Director, TMS Andrew Davis, Digital Director, Initiative Michael Marsh, Senior Digital Executive, Carat Isabelle Chetcuti, Client Communications Planning Director, MediaCom Andrew Reeves, Digital Strategist, Zenith Optimedia Antonia Farquhar, Digital Strategist, OMD

Digital Showdown will be “Millionaire Hot Seat meets The Weakest Link meets Jeopardy” – it will be fast, furious and highly competitive. It will be hosted by the Nine Network’s Kerri-Anne Kennerley.

Digital Showdown is a key feature of ninemsn’s Digital Marketing Summit line up, this year themed Fast Forward 5 (FFWD5), as guests hear from local and global experts on the key trends and issues facing the industry in the next five years.

“The Digital Showdown contestants will flaunt their digital knowledge and battle it out for the chance to win fantastic prizes. The winner will secure a $200,000 ninemsn media buy and a $100,000 Nine Network media buy to donate to their charity of choice, and the successful contestant will win a trip to Cannes,” said ninemsn CEO, Joe Pollard.

FFWD5, an invitation only event hosted by ninemsn at Luna Park, will be attended by 500 senior marketing and media professionals as world-class speakers share their insights and predictions about digital media and marketing over the next five years.

Speakers will cover the future of multi-screen marketing, evolution of content, social networking, the digital consumer, mobility, search and advanced digital technologies.

As well as hearing from world-class speakers, delegates will also be treated to an immersive, interactive, futuristic experience to see what the digital world of culture, business and society will look like in the future.
