Ninemsn has unveiled its new culinary destination, ninemsn Food. Launching with Coles as the premier partner alongside sponsors Riccadonna and Fonterra, the new site offers consumers a rich and engaging online food experience and a one-stop-shop for all things Food.

Boasting more than 25,000 recipes, handy meal planning and shopping list tools, how-to fact sheets, blogs and food news, galleries and videos – the site combines content from trusted ACP Magazines brands including Recipes +, Australian Women’s Weekly, Gourmet Traveller, in addition to content produced exclusively for the site.
In the Table Talk section, which incorporates live Facebook and Twitter feeds, visitors will be able to contribute their own recipes to ninemsn Food, as well as viewing the highest rated reader recipes and recently recommended recipes from the site.

Coles branded content has been integrated across the site including a Coles TV Channel with celebrity chef Curtis Stone and how-to videos; a special ‘Feed Your Family’ section and a ‘Coles Experts’ section featuring in-season tips and recommendations from their specialist fishmonger, butcher and  baker.

Coles Head of Consumer PR and Publishing, Jon Church says, “The partnership with ninemsn Food provides yet another fast and convenient way for Coles to offer Australians access to the freshest food ideas for the kitchen.”

“We are constantly looking for new ways to make life a little easier for Australian families. With this in mind, visitors to the site will not only be tempted by delicious Coles Feed Your Family recipes, they will also discover articles from our Coles experts and helpful hints from Curtis Stone.”

At last night’s official launch event in Melbourne, ninemsn also announced the winner of its nationwide Food blogger competition. Trish Gallagher of Templestowe in Melbourne’s east was selected from more than 400 quality entries as ninemsn’s new guest Food blogger, receiving a $5000 cash prize. As the voice of the new site, Trish will share her recipe ideas, kitchen tips, opinions, insights and food experiences with her fellow Australian foodies in her weekly blog.

“It was Trish’s ability to connect with a wide audience in a fun and friendly way that won us over,” says ninemsn’s Director of Audience Experience Todd Forest. “Her original recipes are also well aligned with our vision for the ninemsn Food site – and in Trish’s own words, they focus on being ‘simple and yummy’.
