Nine’s lineup of partners for 2022 State of Origin series

Nine’s Wide World of Sports has revealed its strongest ever partner lineup to kick off the 2022 State of Origin series tonight.

Existing and new partners are playing a part in the television sporting contest and leveraging the opportunity Nine’s ecosystem offers across total TV, total publishing and total audio.

Nine’s partners for the anticipated Origin series are Harvey Norman, Telstra, Sportsbet, McDonald’s, Menulog, Stan, Isuzu and UPI.

Matt Granger, Nine’s sport director of sales, commented that Origin provides an opportunity for marketers to reach an engaged sporting audience.

“The State of Origin series is the most powerful exclusive-reach platform for brands on Australia’s sporting calendar,” said Granger. “In 2022, we see our returning and new partner brands further investing in Nine’s NRL storytelling ecosystem across total TV, total audio and total publishing.

“By leveraging our full suite of assets, they can connect their message to a passionate audience when their attention is at the highest.”

Nine’s head of sport content partnerships, Anne Gruber, said this year’s coverage of the three-match State of Origin series continues to evolve and will push the boundaries for brands even further.

“Tonight we will launch innovative ‘look and feel’ graphics which enable deeper and more sophisticated integrations for our partners,” Gruber said.

“With more than 60 cameras, 140 broadcast crew and unprecedented access to key talent including both Origin coaches, fans will be provided with unrivalled access to exclusive content throughout Nine’s coverage.

“9Now viewers can also enjoy four additional streams that include Spidercam as well as the dedicated Coach and Player Cams, plus the new 20-minute breakdown, 9Now mini-match, which is available for catch-up after the final whistle.

“Nine’s build-up and anticipation for the 2022 series has never been greater, buoyed by the hugely popular Stories of Origin podcast which showcases stories of mateship, pain and triumph from Origin greats.”

State of Origin I will be broadcast tonight exclusively on Channel 9 and 9Now from 7pm AEST.
