Nine’s MAFS stays in ratings honeymoon as it tops Monday entertainment

Nine’s Married At First Sight (MAFS) pulled in 841,000 metro viewers on Monday night, keeping its winning streak as top entertainment program since the launch last week.

MAFS also topped all three key advertising demos. The program was followed by ABC’s Back Roads in entertainment with 510,000 metro viewers. Home and Away on Seven aired to 507,000 metro viewers.

Seven’s The Chase Australia drew in 462,000 metro viewers, followed by ABC Media Watch, with 459,000 metro audience.

Ten’s Australian Survivor had the upper hand over Seven’s Australian Idol on Monday night. The former aired to 449,000 metro viewers while the latter aired to 410,000. The two have had close competition in metro markets since launching.

The #1 news program on Monday night was Seven News at 6:30 with 914,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News with 907,000, Nine News at 6:30 with 807,000 and Nine News with 778,000.

Nine Network was the overall share winner on Monday with 31.4%, followed by Seven with 26.6%, ABC with 18.7%, and Ten with 16.8%.

The top-rated primary channel was Nine with 24.5%. However, the top-rated multichannel was 7Two with 3.4%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 30 January, the MAFS launch last Monday was the #1 program nationally with 1.848 million viewers, including 566,000 on national BVOD and an uplift of 66 per cent. It was also the program with the biggest uplift.
