Nine’s NRL grand final tops VOZ week 41 as The Block wins non-sport entertainment

The NRL grand final on Nine, which saw Penrith claim the 2021 premiership with 14-12 victory over South Sydney, has dominated total television reporting, topping the latest Total TV Top 20 Programs Consolidated 7 Audience VOZ report for television Week 41.

In the report, covering 3 October to 9 October, The NRL footy match took the #1 spot with a total of 3.753 million viewers nationally, with BVOD contributing 10% of the audience, with a total BVOD audience of 363,000 nationally.

In non-sport entertainment, it was the Monday episode of The Block which took the #1 position with an audience of 1.695 million viewers nationally, and a BVOD audience of 180,000.

Nine had 13 spots in the top 20, 4 spots going to sessions of the NRL grand final, 4 spots to The Block, while Nine News had 4 spots, and an episode of A Current Affair had 1 spot.

Seven had 6 spots in the top 20, 4 spots for Seven News, 1 spot for an episode of Home And Away, and 1 spot for Monday’s episode of SAS Australia. 

Ten had 1 spot in the top 20, with the last 15 minutes of an episode of The Masked Singer – The Final Reveal taking the spot.
