Nova Entertainment has promoted client manager Simon Joyce to a newly created role of group sales manager for the company.

Joyce, who joined Nova from talkback radio station 2GB in November 2012, will have responsibility for overseeing key agencies, leading a new team, and creating and driving revenue across new assets including Coles Radio.

The move comes six weeks after the Lachlan Murdoch controlled DMG Radio rebranded as Nova Entertainment.

Peter Colosimo, Sydney sales director at Nova, said he has driven exceptional revenue across his key agencies over the past 18 months and his appointment ensures strong succession plans for the company.

Joyce has over 12 years’ experience in media having started out as a planner and buyer for Carat in the UK, then joined First Radio Sales as a senior account manager for four years. He moved to Australia in January 2009 and then worked at the Macquarie Radio Network station 2GB as a senior account manager before joining Nova.

He said in a statement: “I am delighted to be cementing my future with Nova Entertainment, and thrilled to be leading a new team in market.”

Andy Robertson, a former senior account manager at Inklink Media, will fill Joyce’s former role as agency sales director from April 28.
