Number two for speedy bookings?
Dr Mumbo is always fond of the chest-beating that accompanies the publication of Nielsen’s annual media agency rankings.
Today’s Financial Review includes a full page ad from Group M declaring that it’s still Australia’s number one media agency group.
But rather curiously, Mitchells’ customary ad proclaiming itself number one media agency does not appear in the AFR this year – instead it’s in The Australian’s media section.
And what’s odd about that? Well Fairfax Media – owner of the AFR – is a Mitchells client, so you’d have expected the love to go in that direction.

Mitchells ad is in fact in the AFR, it’s on page 6 🙂
Mitchells went in both The Australian and AFR, but Group M went in just the AFR.
media in The Aus is a great section though, not sure why group M isn’t in there?
