Nunn Media announces new strategy head and senior account manager
Independent media agency, Nunn Media, has hired a new head of strategy and innovation and senior account manager for its Sydney team.
Mitch Hunter has been tapped to fill in the innovation and strategy head role, bringing vast amounts of experience in media, creative and customer experience (CX).
Her most recent role was head of strategy at The Core Agency.
But it’s only the tip of an iceberg containing several prolific industry companies Hunter has worked at, including Bohemia Group, Publicis Groupe, OMD Australia, PHD, Apparent and more. During her career, the media and creative professional contributed work to well-known brands, such as Unilever, Coca-Cola, Tourism Australia and Telstra.
“Mitch has done everything from helping redefine client business models, to developing award winning creative and media campaigns,” Nunn Media Sydney’s managing director, Chris Walton, said.
“Her ability to blend creative strategy with a deep understanding of the customer journey makes her the perfect fit for this role. Her passion for tackling challenges head-on and driving demonstrable results will deliver strong outcomes for our clients.”

Meanwhile, the agency’s new senior account manager is Melissa Galanos.
Galanos approaches the newly created role with more than five years’ of media experience, and a strong background in buying and planning for online and offline channels.
Her most recent gig was at Slingshot, where she worked as an implementation planner, senior implementation planner and business manager for three years and a month. Brands Galanos has worked with includes Australian Pork, Universal Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Inspiration Paints and Daikin.
“Melissa has a proven ability to manage complex campaigns and deliver results for a broad base of clients in what is a rapidly evolving media landscape. We welcome both her and Mitch to the growing Nunn Media business in Sydney,” Walton said.
Hunter and Galanos’ appointments come during a fruitful year for Nunn Media. In January, 2024, the agency confirmed that it had secured Spotlight Retail Group’s $90 million media account, covering its brands: Harris Scarfe, Mountain Designs, Spotlight and Anaconda.
“It’s pleasing to see the Spotlight Retail Group again recognise Nunn Media for its operational scale, digital expertise and ability to execute campaigns that drive tangible commercial results,” the agency’s managing director, Matt Nunn, had said to Mumbrella at the time.
