NY moves could be good for Lowe in Australia
A US deal involving Interpublic agency Lowe should potentially see the agency’s Australian operation part of a stronger international network.
In the US, Lowe is combining with the successful agency outfit Deutsch.
The move was announced in a message to Lowe management. In the note, chairman Tony Wright and CEO Michael Wall said: “There is little doubt that we have made great strides in Lowe NY and this latest move means that we can now set a faster pace on growth and development. The development of our global network continues and this alignment delivers the scale in the US to compete for and win more multinational clients – which in turn benefits all of us.”
Although the move does not directly affect the Australian office, local agencies rely on having a strong global network to pick up internationally-aligned clients.
Mumbrella understands that Lowe’s London office -which has seen a turbulent couple of years since the departure of founder Sir Frank Lowe nearly three years ago – may create a similar arrangement to the Deutsch agreement.
