Officeworks’ national advertising and comms manager Simon Davenport joins National Basketball League as GM of marketing

Simon Davenport has departed from his role as Officeworks’ national advertising and communications manager to become the National Basketball League’s (NBL) general manager of marketing.

Davenport was the national advertising and communications manager at Officeworks for more than five years.

Davenport joins the NBL from his five year stint at Officeworks

He joined Officeworks from his previous role as the national retail marketing manager at Boost Juice Bars.

Davenport replaces Chris Reeves who departed the NBL as its GM of marketing to take on a new role as REA Groups marketing and communications manager.

“The NBL has gone from strength to strength since Larry Kestelman took over majority ownership in the 2015/16 season and it is on a strong upward trajectory.

“This season alone it has broken more attendance records, enjoyed strong growth in its broadcast audience and the NBL has now has established itself as a premier entertainment product and one of the best leagues in the world outside of the NBA,” Davenport said in a statement.
