Offspring finale brings in 545,000 metro viewers as Get Krack!n debuts with timeslot-winning 433,000

Ten’s Offspring season seven series finale drew just 545,000 metro viewers, down 179,000 metro viewers from this season’s premiere and well behind last year’s finale audience of 810,000 metro viewers.

However, Offspring still performed relatively well in the 25-54 demographic where it was third for the night, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary rating.

Meanwhile, the top drama offering of the night was Seven’s Home And Away, which rated 690,000, ahead of Nine’s Doctor Doctor which rated 632,000.

Nine had the top entertainment offering, with The Block achieving 957,000 metro viewers, and topping the 18-49s, and 25-54s.

Ten’s best performing show as The Bachelor Australia, which pulled 680,000 metro viewers and topped the 16-39 demographic.

It was a good night for the ABC, with Utopia, and Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell attracting metro audiences of 744,000 and 721,000 respectively.

The ABC’s first episode of breakfast TV comedy Get Krack!n, featuring The Katering Show’s Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan’s attracted 433,000 metro viewers, winning its 9.40pm timeslot.

Seven won the 6pm news battle with 1.025m metro viewers, ahead of Nine’s 883,000.

Nine comfortably won the night with an audience share of 20.4%. Seven’s share was 17.5%, Ten’s share was 13.7%.

ABC was just behind on 13.6%, and SBS had 5.8%.
