Ogilvy announces Liz Taylor as global chief creative officer

Ogilvy has announced Liz Taylor as new global chief creative officer, after she recently left the same role at Leo Burnett.

Taylor will be responsible for overseeing Ogilvy’s creative product across 132 offices in 83 countries and spanning its 5 business units: advertising, PR, experience, health, and growth and innovation.

Piyush Pandey, will move to a new role of chairman of global creative, and will also continue to serve as chairman of Ogilvy India. Joe Sciarrotta will partner Taylor, continuing as deputy global COO.

Regarding her appointment, Taylor said: “There is something special about being able to come back to Ogilvy and join a team that is taking this iconic company into the future. Creativity has the power to change everything and I’m looking forward to working with Ogilvy’s incredibly strong global network of creative talent to inspire people and brands to have an impact on the world.”

Taylor previously worked at Ogilvy between 2012-2016. She will be the first woman to hold the company’s top creative role, returning to Ogilvy at a time where the company has won several new global accounts including, Abolsut, Enterprise Holdings, Pernod Ricard USA and Zippo.

During her career, Taylor has working on, and created work for clients including, Aldi, Bank of America, Boeing, Budweiser, Cadillac, Campbell’s, Facebook, Gatorade, GE, Kellogg’s, Kimberly-Clark and McDonald’s.

Sally Kissane was named the CEO of Ogilvy in March, with WPP AUNZ drawing the Ogilvy agencies together into one network.
